Kennesaw Mountain is hosting a Class AAAAA sectional that includes schools from the Savannah based Region 3, Cobb heavy Regions 4 and 5 and Region 6, which is made up of teams from north Fulton and Forsyth counties.

"I don't have any concerns," he said. "The most important Nike Free Blue And Grey thing is to make sure the (scoring) tables are staffed and that the people doing the scoresheets know how to score them correctly. One point could cost a kid a spot at state, so whoever is doing the scoring really needs to stay on top of the referees' calls and have the correct scoring information.
More than 25 teams, and 100 wrestlers, from the across the state will descend upon the Mustangs' gym beginning today with the hopes of advancing to next week's traditional state championships at The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth.
"We borrowed one of McEachern's mats," Rivera said. "That's what a lot of the coaches do. Everybody's really helpful when it comes to things like that. We needed an extra mat and they were happy to help us out with one."
"It's also important to make sure the clocks run right, and to have the computer and the software and IT stuff working properly. The key is to have the right people in place to handle those things, and I think we have that."
"I've been lucky to be able to focus on the kids," Rivera said. "Jeff's been doing most of the work and I'm fortunate to have him here helping out. He's really the tournament director. He started the program here and has been extremely helpful in allowing me to take care of the guys.
Kennesaw Mountain will be one of eight schools hosting a traditional wrestling state sectional tournament today and Saturday.
